What to Expect

A Warm Welcome

We know that walking into a new space—especially a church—can be intimidating. Whether you are a lifelong believer or a curious neighbor, you can expect a relaxed, casual and friendly environment. We meet at 259 10th Avenue (right near the High Line).

The Service

Our Sunday service begins at 10:30 AM. As Christians, we believe this is the most important 90 minutes of our week. We are not contemporary or traditional, our hope is to create an approachable atmosphere for people to experience God and connect with others. In all the busyness of life as a New Yorker, we shape our Sunday services through song, liturgy and a gospel-centered sermon.

Dress

There is no dress code here. You’ll see people in everything from jeans and sneakers to business casual. We mean it when we say "if you’re flawed, you fit"—so come exactly as you are.

Storefront Kids

We love families! During the service, we offer a dedicated children’s ministry where kids can learn about God’s love in a safe, fun, and engaging environment. Our Children’s Ministry Coordinator and volunteers are committed to supporting families and helping young hearts thrive. You are also more than welcome to keep your children with you in the main service if you prefer.

After the Service

The conversation doesn’t end when the service does. We often gather for coffee or head out into the neighborhood together. It’s a great time to meet people, ask questions, or simply enjoy being part of the West Chelsea community.
